Our client asked us to think ‘out of the box’ concerning their new working environment. T-Systems The Hague was going to move from five floors of traditional office space to two floors of office space. The occupancy rate in the current office was low and the management likes to offer the employees an attractive new office where they can work and relax. A new flexible way of working had to be thought about and moreover we were explicitly asked to reuse as much furniture as possible.

The agile working principle has been applied in this project.
We have focussed on the most efficient use of the working environment in which desks, brainstorming rooms, concentration units, meeting and coffee corners are distributed functionally and task-orientedly around the room. The various activities of the employees around the room create a dynamic cooperation. By creating different types of work places employees are able to work wherever and whenever they want. In this project we reused various components such as: desk bases, conference chairs, office chairs and various cupboards. Sustainable and cost-saving!
Due to the agile working principle, the room is used efficiently and task and function oriented work can be done. By adding funny elements such as swings, laptop seats and lounge sofas, various options have been created for working differently than in a traditional office. In this project we reused various components such as: desk bases, meeting chairs, office chairs and various cupboards. Through the mix of new and used materials and the addition of all kinds of playful elements, we have created a totally new and dynamic working environment. Agile and sustainable!
